Busy, busy, busy...

This glorious sunshine seems to have renewed the Clan's vigour and drive in the gardening department!

Our small but not-so-perfectly formed plot needs work, there is no avoiding this fact - unfortunately, with his Lairdship being away all week, my work and two young and wonderful people to keep us busy, it tends to get pushed to the end of the queue homewise. Not today, oh no... Today his Lairdship and the Boy started taking down the rickety old fence to replace it with a new shorter one... Imagining how it will look when it is finished is very exciting.

Lunch was home-made mushroom soup and the Boy made his first loaf of soda bread to accompany it - very scrumptious it was, too. Supper on our menu was to be enchiladas, thanks to friends for the recipe, discovering I had no onions was a bit of a hitch in the smooth-running of the kitchen. Bumping into the Cheery Ms C, who I hadn't seen for ages, in the shop, was a real delight - it's always good to talk, although dinner was a wee bit later than planned!

Five smiles for the day:

  1. A happy Clan
  2. Bumping into old friends
  3. Soup and soda bread
  4. The garden taking shape
  5. That tired but good feeling
Cheery smiles, D x
